Worlds in San Antonio, USA concluded

The 22nd World Championships, the qualifier for the World Games in Chengdu, China 2025, have been concluded last Saturday in San Antonio, TX, USA. Players and delegates from 19 countries came to racquetball’s birthplace to compete in several individual and team competitions of this bi-annual event. From Europe, with Ireland and Germany two ERF members took part, as well as representatives for/from Italy and Denmark. Ultimately, the dominance of the pan-american countries and players is more than clear. While the team from Ireland reached 13th place in the overall ranking, the German team achieved 14th place.It was Germany’s first appearance at a World Championship since 2008.

Marcel Lünsmann from Germany alone managed to win in the Mens A/Challenger category against Tejas Veer from India. Only players from North America landed in the top places in the team and individual event.
