Ernesto Ruiz (Kulmbach) successfully defended his title at the 44th German Championships 2026 in Hamburg. In a rematch of last year’s final, he defeated Marcel Lünsmann (Hamburg) 11-5, 11-9, 11-7, securing his second men’s singles title. Ruiz also triumphed in doubles: Together with Arne Schmitz (Hamburg), he defeated the veterans Ralf Klinke (Bremen) and Bernd Dröge (Hamburg) 11-6, 11-7, 11-8. In the women’s singles, Yvonne Mesecke (Hamburg) achieved her 16th title, which she further crowned with a victory in the women’s doubles alongside her daughter Sarah.
