Luque & Ruiz prevail in Hamburg

The defending champions prevailed at the 2025 Hamburg Open, the first stop of the European Racquetball Tour: While Carolina Luque of Mexico won the women’s final in five games against Veronica Dotti (Bolivia) 13-11, 11-7, 8-11, 8-11, 11-7, Ernesto Ruiz, after his victory at the European Championships in Switzerland, once again succeeded in claiming another victory against Marcel Lünsmann (Hamburg) in three games, 11-8, 12-10, 11-7. This year’s Hamburg Open was particularly successful for Ernesto: He not only won the men’s singles final, but also won the men’s doubles with Arne Schmitz (Hamburg) and the mixed doubles with Runa Maite Süchting.
